Gettin' Settled

So we've been in our new house for about a month and a half. It's starting to feel like home now that most of the boxes are unpacked. Some rooms look exactly like we want them to, but most of the house is a work in progress. So far we've:

  • had 2 rooms painted
  • tilled part of the front yard
  • tilled one side of the backyard
  • planted 6 trees
  • planted a whole bunch of shrubs
  • planted veggies
That's some of the bigger stuff. Caroline's parents came down for a day to help us with a lot of it and we have them to thank for the tiller (which wreaked havoc on my shoulders and arms). Lot of folks brought us plants: Caroline's parents, my mom, neighbors, and a few folks from Caroline's congregation. Here are a few pictures to give you an visual of what's happened:
